About us: 

Blaze Kids Academy is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing children who have lost access to their parents a stable residential home and access to a high quality education and extra-curricular activities. These children will be coming from rural parts of the United States, and will demonstrate an ability to be a high achieving student if given the right environment. Job Details:

BKA is currently seeking a full-time Office Manager and Executive Assistant. This person will serve as the “right-hand” of our Executive Director, and provide support to our Facilities Director and Development Dept.  Ideal candidates will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a willingness (and proven ability) to be flexible from day-to-day, possess excellent time management and organizational skills, and be capable of learning new things quickly.  We are seeking a proven self-starter who can work well both independently as well as with a team.  Exceptional project management experience is necessary.  


Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing Executive Director’s calendar, handle meeting coordination, and travel arrangements
  • Attend meetings with Executive Director, as needed
  • Help aid meeting prep for Executive Director
  • Conduct industry & regulatory research
  • Work together with Development Director for fundraising and volunteer event planning 
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Liaise between other staff & outside vendors 
  • Assistance with vendor selection and attaining bids and proposals 
  • Manage LinkedIn and any other work-related social accounts 
  • Filing & Organizing
  • Office/Kitchen/Classroom supply upkeep, maintenance and errands


Necessary skills: 

  • Excellent time management 
  • Flexible with quickly changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience with documenting meeting proceedings (e.g. preparing Board meeting minutes, keeping detailed meeting notes for group distribution)
  • G-Suite & Zoom calendar management
  • Excellent grammar and a strong command of traditional English writing standards necessary


Education: Bachelor’s Degree 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years managerial or executive assistant experience 

Salary: $50-$60K
